Margaret Marshall’s mashed sweet potatoes

Healthy Living Expert Margaret Marshall makes a Thanksgiving side dish that is just a dash healthier for you.

Wash as many sweet potatoes or yams (Yams are sweeter) as needed for the amount of people you are serving. (1 large sweet potato for two people)

Cut raw potatoes into chunks and boil until soft.

Let cool. When potatoes are cool the skin can be removed easily.

Whip potatoes with 1 or 2% milk. (There is no need for butter)

Place whipped potatoes in a baking dish, and top with Dark Brown Sugar.

Bake until sugar is melted. (Or can be prepared the day before and baked before serving. Then just bake until thoroughly heated.)
