(WTNH) — Mental Health Connecticut is bringing first aid training for mental health to Uconn and Mohegan Sun.
Since 1908, Mental Health Connecticut has helped support mental health for Connecticut residents.
Mental health first aid acts as CPR for mental health by training for warning signs and how to handle crises.
Mental Health Connecticut supports Born This Way Foundation’s partnership with the National Council for Behavioral Health to train 150,000 people in Mental Health First Aid before the end of the year.
The organization is doing their part by hosting training sessions during Lady Gaga’s Connecticut tour stop in November.
Those who are interested in signing up for the training can visit www.mhconn.org/education/mental-health-first-aid.
Mental Health Connecticut will have the first training session at Uconn’s Storrs campus on November 10th and 17th from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Mohegan Sun will host their training session on November 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
