April is National Volunteer Month. Goodwill is inspiring students across Connecticut to give back and make a difference.
Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut just kicked off their annual Bag It Up competition which challenges elementary schools throughout its region to collect as many donated goods as they can.
Donated good can include anything from clothes, to furniture to toys.
The goal of the program is to teach kids about giving back to their communities. Last year’s winning school donated more than 58,000 items.
The winning school this year will get a visit from multi-platinum recording artist Gavin DeGraw.
