Conn. (WTNH) — A new Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut Teen USA were crowned over the weekend.

The two winners will now complete a year of service and represent the “nutmeg” state at the Miss USA and Teen USA pageants later this year.

To kick things off, Miss CT USA Karla Aponte Roque, and Miss CT Teen Jade Ferdinand joined News 8’s Alyssa Taglia to discuss their passion for volunteering, and the organizations they will be working with.
