(WTNH)-An Orlando doctor, honored for his response and treatment of victims from the Pulse nightclub shooting, is sharing what he learned during the tragedy to help other hospitals prepare for a similar emergency.
Dr. Gary Parrish from Orlando Health is at Yale New Haven hospital this week. He discusses the lessons learned from the Orlando experience and that there is more than the acute medical crisis management. He also touches upon the importance of community and staff recovery after the event. Parrish also went to Las Vegas and participated in one of their disaster drills prior to their most recent tragedy.
