Bark-B-Que Fundraiser raising money for pets in need

Good Morning CT Weekend

(WTNH)- Pets in need are counting on you to be their ally in animal welfare through the Connecticut Humane Society’s Bark B Que fundraiser.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at A.S. Labieniec in Berlin, Connecticut. The night features a silent auction, drinks, food demonstrations and amazing fare from Rooster Co. and Flora restaurants.

Funds raised by Bark B Que will support the medical needs of CHS pets. Some pets only need spay/neuter procedures, while others need treatment for chronic conditions and complicated surgeries.

CHS cares for pets statewide through three Pet Wellness and Adoption Centers (in Newington, Waterford, and Westport), Community Pet Wellness Clinics, and the Fox Memorial Clinic, a low-fee, public veterinary clinic in Newington.

On Good Morning Connecticut Saturday,  Chef KC Ward from Flora came on to show us a recipe that will be made at the Bark B Que fundraiser.

To see the recipe he used, you can watch the video above.
