(WTNH)- It’s engagement season and so many brides said yes between thanksgiving and New Years. Now it’s time to start shopping!
Stylist, Author and Owner of The White Dress By The Shore, Beth Chapman, came to Good Morning Connecticut to talk about how to shop for that perfect wedding gown.
Chapman discussed several topics including budget, research, and bridal sizing.
Chapman said you should start shopping for a wedding dress a minimum of six months before the wedding but she recommends eight to twelve months to allow enough time for production and alterations. Chapman also says when you head to your appointment, the less people you bring is better. She says limit the opinions to those who matter most and who understand your personal style. Chapman says to also have an open mind and trust your stylist. Try on things that perhaps you thought you did not want. And last, have fun and enjoy the time. Chapman says the gown sets the tone for the entire wedding. There are so many options out there and there is one for every bride.
