(WTNH) — Naturopathic physician Dr. Jennifer Stagg introduces healthier versions of some Thanksgiving favorites.
Dr. Stagg says the following sides are delicious, easy and healthy items for your Thanksgiving feast.
1. appetizer: Vegetable platter designed as a turkey, served with hummus as a dip.
2. side: Mashed cauliflower
3. side: savory sweet brussels sprouts
4. dessert: pumpkin-coconut flan
All of these menu items are gluten-free and low sugar.
Swap outs for white sugar: agave nectar, blackstrap molasses.
