WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — News 8 is in your neighborhood in West Hartford on Friday.

Dennis House, News 8’s chief political anchor served as an emcee at the annual Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford Help and Hope fundraiser at the Hartford Golf Club on Friday.

Dan Hurley, University of Connecticut’s basketball coach was also the keynote speaker and both Archbishop Leonard Blair and incoming Archbishop Christopher Coyne were on hand.

More than $30,000 was raised to support the Catholic Charities programs and services in Hartford, New Haven and Litchfield counties.
