Puerto Rican Day Parade

The Puerto Rican Parade committee is celebrating this week of culture by teaming up with Goya and giving back.

They donated 2,500 pounds of food to Catholic charities in the greater Hartford area on Wednesday.
And for many families, it couldn’t have come at a better time with the end of the month near.

Joel Cruz from the Institute for the Hispanic Family said, “This at least gets them through the last few days before they get, whether it’s snap or a paycheck on Friday.”

Rafael Toro, the Director of Public Relations of Goya Foods said, “People need to eat, so if someone needs a hand, goya is here, along with the parade committee to give them a hand.”

Goya is a proud sponsor of this weekend’s parade.
