Stretch Your Dollar

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — It’s Friday and that means it’s time to look for a look at what’s free for you and the family in this weeks Freebie Friday!

There are some fun freebies for the family this week, the first something for veterans.

Saturday is free dental day.  Aspen Dental is opening its doors to offer free services to veterans across the country.  Appointments are first-come first serve at most locations.

Few fun things for the kids. Finding Dory is a popular movie with the kiddies right now so maybe they’d like to build their own aquarium. This Saturday from 1 to 3 they can head over to Petco and build a special 3-D paper aquarium.

If that’s not their thing, Lowe’s is also doing a craft, the kids can build an iron man Saturday at 10am.

While you’re running errands, if you end up near Kmart they have free temporary summer tattoos for kids in celebration of the first day of summer this week while supplies last.

Here’s one for the entire family.  This weekend is the Connecticut Irish Festival at the North Haven Fair Grounds. Children under 16 get in free. There will be lots of activities and entertainment.

This one’s an “almost freebie,” Old Navy is doing their dollar flip-flops this Saturday, so if the family needs them, that is the day to go.
