If you’re thinking about buying or listing a home but you haven’t made moves yet, there’s reason this year is shaping up to be a good market for you. We are stretching your dollar with what experts are seeing in Connecticut.
It’s a buyers and sellers housing market.
Realtor.com‘s Danielle Hale analyzed the housing market nationwide. For Connecticut, she found home prices are up this year which is good news for the sellers.
Now, good news for the buyer?
“We are seeing homes take a bit longer to sell so buyers don’t have to make as quick decisions this year as they did last year.”
Hale says Connecticut is seeing a surge of younger buyers.
“Buyers right now are benefiting from lower mortgage rates that might not stick around all that long, so if you’re a seller, you can take advantage of those lower mortgage rates for buyers.”
Hale says the sooner you can list, the better – prices begin to drop as we approach summer.
That’s good news for the buyers who may not be able to swing the higher prices right now. The summer prices may fit into your budget better.
