What’s Right with Schools: The Morgan School Senior Mentoring Program

Whats Right With Schools

When it comes to inclusion and acceptance, the Morgan School in Clinton, CT goes above and beyond.

Freshman year in high school can be nerve-racking.

“I feel like there is this thing where all the freshman think they are going to hate them for some reason. But it’s not really like that all,” said freshman Jessica Flanagan.

At the Morgan school, there are all inclusive events like the “choices seminar” that bring freshman and seniors together.

Freshman ask questions and a panel of seniors provide honest answers.

It’s just not one assembly, throughout the entire year seniors meet with and mentor freshman.

“Just having someone – that’s an upperclassman that’s a friendly face in the hallways that I can go to that I know,” said Caleb Adams-Hull.

A pro-active approach to approachability.

It goes a long way to improving the high school experience.
