Joining us today is Beth Shluger the Founder and CEO of Hartford Marathon Foundation. Shluger is here to give you some information on the Red Dress Run for Women. This women’s 5K is welcoming to all ages and abilities, encouraging participants to achieve goals and celebrate fitness.
Hartford Marathon Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit organization whose mission is to encourage individuals and families to adopt and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. The organization promotes fitness to all ages and all abilities through community running events, school based programs and community collaborations.
Hartford Marathon Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in 1994 and on October 13, 2018, will be celebrating the 25th running of its signature event, the Eversource Hartford Marathon, Half Marathon, Team 26.2 Relay and Charity 5K.
The 3.1 mile women’s race starts and finishes in the beautiful Elizabeth Park Rose Garden and offers a friendly and inspiring environment. The event is great for teams to come together and race as a group or for mother-daughter teams to compete together.

HMF Events is proud to partner with Girls on the Run Greater Hartford. Their ten-week program for girls in grades 3-6 helps develop and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness.
HMF has a calendar of 30+ events from March through December all across Connecticut and in RI and MA, including the new Circuit Downtown fitness event in Hartford on August 3. The detailed calendar is available to by clicking HERE.
