Former world number one, Andy Murray announces retirement at Australian Open press conference.
Murray broke down into tears during the pre tournament press conference leading to the Australian Open. He can no longer compete his best due to hip injury which he undergone surgery a year ago.
He hopes to end his career at Wimbledon later this year. If his body allows him to play, it will be his last tournament.
“Wimbledon is where I would like to stop playing but I am not certain I am able to do that,” says Murray.
Many fans and spectators of the sport hope he plays all of his matches at Rod Laver Arena during the Australian Open. Rod Laver Arena is the biggest court at the tournament.
