Annual Rusty Zoarski Walkathon raises scholarship money for East Haven senior

Sports

Gerald “Rusty” Zoarski loved baseball and coached kids in the local area; some who are now playing minor league ball.

He passed away suddenly years ago, but the school where he worked keeps his memory alive.

The annual Rusty Walkathon raises money for a scholarship in his name.

The kids at Ferrera Elementary in East Haven raised over a thousand dollars on Thursday, which is given to a graduating East Haven High School senior.

Great work by Liz Franco and the school.
