Over 110 million people will be watching the big game from their TV this year on CBS.
“The Super Bowl is the biggest show we do. It takes over 14 production systems tied together and hundreds of people working towards this effort,” explained Mike Francis, Vice President of Remote Engineering & Planning at CBS Sports.
115 cameras will capture the action to ensure you don’t miss a second of it.
“We have every angle, every square inch of this field is covered…” Francis said.
CBS Sports is deploying new technology for the big game, like an 8K camera which can zoom up to 800 percent without losing any clarity in the image.
“We will be able to zoom in tight and get a new perspective of that type of play,” he added.
And new this year is an endzone pylon featuring camera angles never seen before.
