Bobcats face off Bears in ECAC Tournament Friday night


On paper it looks like the Quinnipiac Men’s Hockey Team should beat Brown.
Bobcats the #1 seed in the ECAC tournament and Bears the 8th seed.
Sometimes teams just have your number.

QU playing without its Captain Chase Priskie, who is serving his two game suspension.

Bears beat the Cats in Hamden during the regular season.
On Friday night Bobcats goalie Andrew Shortridge saw most of the action.

Both goalies made some beautiful saves.

Gavin Nieto saw 26 pucks and stopped 25 of them.

After a scoreless first, Bobcats break through in the 2nd.
Karlis Cukste from Peter DiLiberatore and Nick Jermain.
1-0 QU.

Shortridge kept doing his thing in net, holding the Bears off the board.
The nations leading goaltender made 38 saves.

But late in the 3rd, just 21 seconds to play.
Still a one nothing game with an extra attacker Brett Beudoin sneaks one through to tie it and send it in to overtime.

Brown won it 2-1.

Bobcats need to win Saturday to force a decisive game 3 Sunday in Hamden.
