Some great high school championship match-ups are scheduled this weekend.
The Class L softball title game has defending champ– Masuk of Monroe– taking on the surprise of the tournament: 16th seeded East Haven.
The young Yellow Jackets have already knocked off the top seeded St Joe’s; #9 Barlow and #4 Brookfield.
Ed Crisafi’s team is a little ahead of schedule. Many of the Easties’ key contributors are freshman and sophomores with some veteran leadership sprinkled in.
East Haven and the Panthers play Friday night at DeLuca Field.
