Sports

The basketball season is winding to a close.

The prep season wrapped up for Hamden Hall a couple of weeks ago.

The Hornets won a league and New England championship.

Byron Breland III was a major reason why. He was named the New England Prep School Player of the Year.

Breland III has won at every stop, earning two state championships at Hillhouse before transferring to Hamden Hall.

His focus has now turned to playing D1 college ball at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
