Legendary basketball coach Jim Calhoun will look to continue his hard court success at the University of Saint Joseph.

The three-time NCAA National Champion and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer has joined the school’s men’s basketball program as its first-ever head coach.

The announcement took place on Tuesday afternoon at the university.

“Whether it’s Division I or Division III, the kids are the kids and the game is the game and I’m looking forward to getting back out on the court and teaching these young men each and every day. I really missed being a part of a team, and we’re preparing for a great first season at USJ,” Calhoun said.

Calhoun has 873 career victories as a coach, with 625 coming while at the University of Connecticut.
