Ogwumike returns to Connecticut to face Sun

Chiney Ogwumike was a fan favorite at the Mohegan Sun Arena for the last five years.

She was great on the court and great off of it, always generous with her time to the media and the fans.

This spring, she asked to be traded.

Chiney was traded at the end of April to the Los Angeles Sparks for a first round pick next year.

It was a tough deal for the Sun, but they didn’t really have much of a choice.

Chiney is now playing with her sister, Nneka, and the Sparks are now a favorite to win it all.

The trade also helped Ogwumike focus on her career of the court.

She works as an analyst for ESPN, and they have a studio right across the street from the Staples Center.

The Connecticut Sun won the game 89-77. Chiney scored 19 points for the Sparks on Thursday night.
