Olympic gold medalists visit hockey clinic in Watertown

Sports

What a thrill on Monday for more than 50 girls who play hockey: A chance to meet three Olympic gold medalists.

Meghan Duggan, a three-time medalist and captain of the 2018 gold medal women’s hockey team, was in town for a youth clinic at the Taft School in Watertown.

Joining Duggan was Sue Merz, a Milford native who was on the 1998 gold medal team.

They were at the clinic to help Taft girls hockey coach and 1998 gold medalist Gretchen Ulion-Silverman.

Girls from all over the state got to take part in drills and show off their skills for the Olympians.
