Opening Day for the Yankees and Orioles


It is officially spring.Why? Opening day of course!

The yankees, Mets and defending World Series champion Red Sox all got their seasons underway. The Sox play Thursday night and the New Yorkers Thursday afternoon.

Just under 47,000 spectators at the stadium on Thursday to see the Yankees and Orioles.

Throwing out the first pitch, hall of famer Mariano Rivera, another cutter for a strike.

2 on bottom of the first Luke Voit deep to center and into Monument Park 3 run homer 3-0 Yankees.

Great defense here Gleyber Torres the grab and throw from his rear end, to get the out at first.

Bottom of the 8th, Greg Bird, deep to right and gone. His first of the season. The Yankees win their opener 7-2 the final.

They are off on Friday and back at it saturday.
