Sound Tigers play in front of a kid audience Wednesday

Sports

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are supposed to be one of the best teams in the AHL this year.

This morning, the Tigers played to the school kids as they hosted the Binghamton Devils.

Bridgeport was looking for their third straight win.

It got off to a rough start. The Devils got a power play goal, and shorthanded goal to take a two to nothing lead.

But the Sound Tigers exploded on offense after that. Nice move from Sebastian Aho. He scores to make it 2-1.

With about a minute to go in the first period, much to the delight of the kids, it’s the former Quinnipiac star out in front! Travis St. Denis pounds at it, and gets it to go. It was one of two goals for him during the game.

The Sound Tigers go onto win it by a final score of 7-3.
