You know it's been a long and frustrating season when teams that the New York Giants usually have little trouble defeating are favored in the game.

Such is the case with the Washington Commanders, who started the week as a 10.5-point favorite but who, entering kickoff, are a 9.5-point favorite. It's only a point difference, but that the Commanders are favored to win by over two scores gives you an idea of how far this Giants team has fallen.

Don't look for head coach Brian Daboll's team to tank, as he has said that won't be the case. What Daboll didn't say is how he and his assistant coaches plan to overcome the vast talent deficiencies on this roster resulting from injuries, so one sort of gets the impression they're going to just wing in and see what happens.

And speaking of what happens, follow along with our live blog as we chronicle the key plays, stats, and observations from the Giants-Commanders game in our live blog, with contributions from Giants Country editor Patricia Traina and analysts Coach Gene Clemons and Tommy G. Our live coverage starts at 12:30 PM ET, but you can go ahead and register to start the conversation early. (It's FREE and takes a few seconds.)
