Two divisional rivals, desperate for a win, will clash in Orchard Park on November 19 and the experts are siding with the home team.
Almost the entire MMQB panel is riding with the Buffalo Bills (5-5) against the New York Jets (4-5) in Week 11. In their weekly predictions, six of seven panelists selected the Bills to defeat the Jets in Sunday's pivotal AFC East matchup.
Preventing a unanimous selection, editor Claire Kuwana sided with the upset-minded Jets to complete the season sweep of Buffalo. Reminder, all picks are straight up. On the betting line, the Bills are currently a 7.5-point home favorite.
The Jets have won two of the last three meetings between the two franchises, but both victories were at home. None of the three most-recent head-to-head battles were decided by more than 8 points.
Gang Green needed a punt return touchdown in overtime to knock off Buffalo in Week 1. Each offense managed only one touchdown apiece in the 22-16 final.
The Jets' offense has struggled to gain its footing throughout the season. The Green & White have managed only one touchdown in its last 11 quarters of competition and are scoring at the third-lowest rate (16.0 ppg) in the NFL.
"Everybody has to do their job. It can't be one or two people killing a play or killing a drive," said Jets' second-year running back Breece Hall, who has not averaged more than 3.3 yards per carry in any of his last four appearances.
Hall and the Jets' postseason hopes seemingly hinge on a win over Buffalo.
"We still think we're in the playoff picture and everything like that," said Hall.
