UConn baseball plays first home game of the season

21 straight road games all in the warmer weather down south is how the UConn baseball team started its season.

The Huskies finally opned at home today hosting the University of Hartford.

Last home opener at JO Christian Field in Storrs. CT opens a new ballpark next year.

Jim Penders team scored 7 runs in the 2nd inning. Up 1 nothing.

Paul Gozzo with a shot down the line in left, two runs come around, it’s 3 nothing Huskies.

In the 4th inning, it’s a 10-1 game.

Michael Woodworth is the hottest hitter in the lineup. He had two hits, drove in 4.
12 to 1 Uconn.

Huskies win it 12 to 4.

The 51st and final home opener is good one for Head Coach Jim Penders.
