After a 1 – 11 season, the UConn football team needs more talent.
On Wednesday, the program added 11 new players – two from our state.
It’s part of the early signing period that they may not be five star recruits, but head coach Randy Edsall says they fill big needs.
“You know the blue collar guys, the guys that have a chip on their shoulder, they guys that want to work, the guys that want to be developed. You know those are the type of guys that fit this program and fit the mentality of what we need to do here and what I want to do here. They understand exactly what the expectations are and they don’t shy away from that.”
Edsall hopes to add as many as 13 more players during the February signing period.
