NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Name, image and likeness, or NIL, deals are all the rage in college sports. They help student-athletes make money off their name and their brand.

Two former UConn grads started a nonprofit, taking the concept beyond just the player and the company they are pairing with.

John Malfettone, president and co-founder of the Bleeding Blue for Good Fund, joined Darren Kramer on News 8 at 4 p.m.
