Jim Penders was a heck of a player at UConn in the early 90’s.
His head coach, Andy Baylock, saw something in Penders and eventually brought him on as an assistant coach.
When Baylock retired, Penders was ready to take over the program.
Now in his 16th season as head coach, Penders looking to join Baylock for most wins in program history with 556.
The Huskies visited the University of Rhode Island on Tuesday.
