Yale freshman QB O’Connor nearly breaks record in win over Brown

When Yale starting quarterback Kurt Rawlings was lost for the season with a leg injury in October, head coach Tony Reno wasn’t ready to give the job to freshman Griffin O’Connor.

However, he rolled the dice on Saturday and it paid off.

O’Connor was the best player on the field against Brown. He threw for 436 yards, just two shy of the school record.

O’Connor showed poise beyond his years and tossed four touchdown passes, making his first start at the Yale Bowl no big deal for this guy.

Yale went on to win, 46-16.
