Enfield police investigating death of a newborn

ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating the death of a newborn at an Enfield home Friday.

Around 10 a.m., a welfare check was requested at a home on Sharren Lane home. When police entered the home they found the child.

Neighbors were shocked to hear what happened. At the moment, the cause of death is still unknown.

No arrests have been made, so far.

State Police Major Crimes was called to assist with the investigation.
