Two men charged with murder in connection to Alden Street homicide

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police have charged two men in connection to Alden Street homicide Saturday.

Police said officers responded to 36 Alden Street AT 3:50 a.m. on the report of a person stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male in his 50s, unresponsive suffering from multiple stab wounds and a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased .

Authorities have not identified the male victim at this time.

Police believe an altercation occurred between three males- the victim, and two other males. This was a targeted attack and the individuals involved knew each other, according to police.

Authorities report two males have been charged with murder and are currently in the hospital recovering from injuries. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

There is no threat to the public. Authorities will continue to investigate this homicide and look through surveillance footage.

Police are confident they have all the suspects involved with this incident.

This marks Hartford’s 19th homicide.
