Traffic

A brush fire has led to traffic issues on Interstate 91 northbound in New Haven on Tuesday afternoon.

Connecticut State Police said one lane and the Exit 8 off-ramp are closed on I-91 Northbound.

This is due to a brush fire nearby that firefighters are working to put out. Flames and smoke could be seen from the highway.

Drivers should expect delays on the highway and avoid the area if possible.

There is no word on when the highway is expected to fully reopen.
