I-91 northbound reopens in Wethersfield after crash

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) - Interstate 91 northbound has reopened in Wethersfield Wednesday morning after the highway was closed due to a multi-vehicle crash. 

The Department of Transportation reported that I-91 northbound was congested between Exits 24 and 27 because of a multi-vehicle accident that closed the highway between Exits 25 and 27.

The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. It's unclear how many cars were involved but Connecticut State Police say that there were no serious injuries. 

The accident caused heavy delays in the area. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
