I-84 westbound reopens in New Britain after multi vehicle crash

Interstate 84 westbound has reopened in New Britain after a multi vehicle accident closed the highway on Friday morning.

The Department of Transportation reports that a multi vehicle accident closed all lanes on I-84 westbound between exits 36 and 35. The crash was first reported at around 5:39 a.m.

The accident has been cleared and the highway has since reopened. But there are still delays in the area.

It’s unclear how many people were involved in the accident or if anyone was injured.

The cause of the crash is also unknown. 

The accident remains under investigation.
