I-91 north reopens in Hartford after multi-vehicle crash

Traffic

Interstate 91 northbound has reopened in Hartford Wednesday morning after the highway was shut down due to a multi-vehicle accident.

The Department of Transportation reports that I-91 northbound was closed between exits 27 and 29 due to a multi-vehicle accident that was reported just before 4 a.m.

It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured in the crash.

The cause of the accident is also unknown but roads are slick Wednesday morning due to icy spots and snow.

While the highway has since reopened to traffic, there may be some lingering delays.
