Route 15 northbound reopens in East Hartford/ Hartford after crash on Charter Oak Bridge

Route 15 northbound has reopened on the  Hartford/ East Hartford line Thursday morning after a serious crash on the Charter Oak Bridge.

The Department of Transportation reports that Route 15 northbound was closed between exits 89 and 90 because of a two vehicle accident that was reported at around 7:08 a.m.

According to the East Hartford Fire Department, fire crews responded to that accident on the Charter Oak Bridge, which is on the East Hartford and Hartford line.

Connecticut State Police says that there were minor injuries sustained in the crash. 

Drivers should expect delays in the area at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
