Route 4 in Harwinton reopens following serious crash

Part of Route 4 was closed in Harwinton due to a serious crash on Wednesday morning. 

Officials said that there was a road closure on Route 4 between Route 72 and the Burlington town line due to a serious accident. 

Burlington fire officials said that the Life Star helicopter responded to the scene.

The route has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
