Bear breaks into Avon bakery

Police named John Egan, 58, a suspect in the hit-and-run that occurred last week near West Main Street and Highland Avenue. Members of Waterbury's Board of Alderman confirmed to News 8 that Egan was the city's zoning commission chairman. The city's website now shows that the seat is vacant.

"When we see a priest or anybody working for the diocese transferred quickly over a short period of time that's concerning and that's a red flag for us," said Mike McDonnell with the Survivor's Network of Those Abused by Priests. "Out of sight, out of mind. Let the dust settle."

During the month of June, there will be parades, festivals, and concerts designed to celebrate LGBTQ. One of those events gets underway Thursday morning.
