More than 59,000 in Connecticut remain without power due to Wednesday nor’easter

(WTNH) — A wintry mix that moved across the state on Wednesday has left more than 59,000 Connecticut homes in the dark.

Eversource says more than 54,000 customers were without power as of 2:45 a.m. on Friday. The number was more than 5,400 customers for United Illuminating. Norwich Public Utilities reported at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday March 7, that all service had been restored to customers.Storm Team 8: Click here for the latest forecast

Crews have been working around the clock as Connecticut has been hit with nearly back to back storms between last Friday and Wednesday.
