NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Freeze warnings issued for across the state as temperatures are expected to dip into the 30s overnight Wednesday.
The last spring freeze typically arrives in mid-April or mid-May. Newly planted flowers or plants may be able to survive the frost. Others will need to be covered up before going to bed for the night.
These plants can survive frost:
- Pansies
- Hyacinth
- Iris
- Lily-of-the-valley
- Hosta
- Viola
- Peony
- Daffodil
- Crocus
- Snapdragon
