Safety tips for driving in the winter weather

With some snow fall hitting Connecticut soon, it’s important to remember a few safety tips to make the roads less dangerous on your commutes.

Triple A would like to remind all drivers in Connecticut to:

Properly inflate your tires.

Keep your gas tank at least half full to avoid your gas line freezing up.

Do not use cruise control when it’s icy on the roads.

Drive slow. 

Keep a snow brush in your car to clean your car. 

It’s also important to be fully aware of your surroundings. It doesn’t take much for this type of weather to cause accidents. 

Be mindful of leaving your cars on to heat up as there have been instances of car thefts lately.
